It's fun to pin home decor on Pinterest, but odds are your house is not conducive to the layout of the rooms you are pinning. The location of windows, shelves, doors, etc. are going to be different 99.9% of the time, making it nearly impossible to copy.
That's why I encourage you to MAKE IT YOUR OWN.
Change it up..and boy do I love changing up mantel decor.
Pull out items that have been in storage around the house, but have special meaning to YOU and your family!
Crafts and my baby shoes add layers and personal touch. The lantern was on clearance at TJ Maxx. I added height by stacking the lantern on a candle holder.
Make your own moss balls with a bag of moss from the Dollar Tree store and any round objects you have laying around.
I mentioned the gold candlesticks above purchased for $1.50 here. Proof that you can always re-arrange and use decor in different ways.
Try to do this without even going shopping!
